Wisconsin’s own Matt Kenseth has more wins than any driver this season in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series after claiming his fourth checkered flag Sunday in Kentucky. A late race risk in the pits delivered the latest win.
Kenseth’s fuel-only pit stop helped him beat Jimmie Johnson in Sunday's rescheduled 400-miler. Crew chief Jason Ratcliff passed on putting new tires on the No. 20 Toyota following the race's ninth caution.
Kenseth led twice for 38 laps, including the final 23. Johnson, the five-time champion and current series point’s leader, finished ninth and leads Carl Edwards in the standings by 38 points.
