Former Sevastopol High School standout and current Concordia University Wisconsin softball player Mariah Giesseman was awarded Second Team All-Conference after a tremendous 2013 softball season. Giesseman and the Falcons finished 28-17 and made the NAC Tournament for the third straight year. The Falcons season ended following their loss to Aurora in the double elimination NAC Tournament.
Giesseman batted .370 and finished second on the team with 50 hits. She tallied five home runs and 29 RBI’s in 135 at-bats. Defensively, Giesseman finished top three among third baseman in conference with a fielding percentage of .966, and second on the team in fielding assists.
“I would like to congratulate Mariah and our three other players on making All-Conference teams,” says Falcons head coach Steve Crook. “I am very proud of both our team accomplishments as well as individual successes we have accomplished this year.”
Giesseman will soon finish her junior year at CUW majoring in Athletic Training and Pre-physical Therapy.
