Final Night Of Regular Season Girls Basketball


Senior night was a night to celebrate Thursday in Algoma. The girls basketball team eased past Sturgeon Bay 54-13 and claimed their share of the Packerland Conference title. Freshman Anna Dier scored 14 points as the Wolves closed the regular season with a (20-2) overall record and a mark of (13-1) in the Packerland.

Kewaunee is the other half of the co-champions in the Packerland Conference. Their identical (13-1) conference record included a 46-24 win last night against Southern Door. Kelsey Stangel had 16 points to lead all scorers. Cheyanne McFarlin scored 12 points in the loss for the Eagles.

N.E.W. Lutheran did just enough to skate past Gibraltar 41-37. Jaci Mielke scored 13 points and Jamie Falk added 12 for the Blazers.

Oconto held Sevastopol in check with a 43-25 win at home. Jaelyn Jicha scored 14 points and Laken James added 11 for Oconto.
