Luxemburg-Casco Wrestlers Take 12th At Invite

The Luxemburg-Casco wrestling team took 12th place at the Cheesehead Invite yesterday. The Spartans were the top finishing team from Wisconsin at the 28-team tourney. Senior Newton Smerchek, ranked No. 1 in Division 2, fell just short of repeating as an individual champion at the invite. He placed second at 285 pounds to Division 1 top wrestler, Jesse Nelson of Stoughton.
