Logan Brusky and Reggie Nimmer each put up 18 points for the Kewaunee Storm in the consolation game of the West De Pere Holiday Tournament Friday, but Menasha’s Aaron Langdon scored 25 points to lead his team to a 71-59 victory.
The Southern Door boys fell to Weyauwega-Fremont, 46-59 in the consolation game of the Wrightstown Holiday Tournament. Cal McCarty led the Eagles in scoring with 10.
GIRLS
The Kewaunee girls brought home the gold Friday after they outscored West De Pere, 43-27 at the West De Pere Girls Basketball Tournament. The Lady Storm went on a 14-0 run in the second quarter and never looked back. Alex Richard led Kewaunee with 14 points and Kelsey Stangel chipped in with 12.
Algoma took down the hosts in a semifinal game of the Ashwaubenon tournament, 61-29. McKenzie Mueller put up 15 points and Kennedy Blahnik added 13. Algoma takes on Sussex Hamilton at 4 p.m. today in the championship game.
Sturgeon Bay held off Shiocton in a 44-35 win. Carolyn Mickey lead the Clippers with 10 points in the first half, and Rachel Haight scored 9 points – 7 of those came in the fourth quarter.
