Open to boys and girls who will be in grades 1-8 in the fall, DCBC will teach basketball fun and fundamentals. Scheduled for August 13-16 at the Sevastopol Schools, the camp will be led by former Advocate sports editor and Door County native Dave Ehrhardt. Now a basketball coach in the state of Oregon, Ehrhardt has worked for one of the best basketball camps in the world for the past five years and looks forward to bringing home what he's learned to Door County.
DCBC will feature a morning session for kids entering grades 1-5 and an afternoon session for kids entering grades 6-8. Ball handling, proper shooting form and passing skills are just some of the things campers will learn at the camp, which will also feature Alli Ehrhardt. Alli is the all-time leading scorer at Rogue River High School in Oregon and will play at Corban University in Salem, OR next year. Several Door County-based players and coaches will also take part.
Camp cost is only $75 per player and includes an official Ehrhardt's Door County Basketball Camp t-shirt.
