Erik Cordier made his Major League debut Wednesday in the San Francisco Giants 9-4 loss. Cordier pitched in the seventh inning and struck out his first batter faced in a six pitch at-bat that featured five pitches at or above 100-mph.
After a walk, Cordier got a pop out to the shortstop then hit a batter and recorded the third out on another pop out.
Overall, the 2004 Southern Door graduate threw 25 pitches with one walk, one hit by pitch and one strikeout.
Up next for the Giants is an off day Thursday and then a weekend series with the Detroit Tigers.
