The Green Bay Packers are traveling to St. Louis today and will tee it up with the Rams tomorrow at 3:00 PM for preseason game number two of four on Green Bay’s schedule. Players officially checked out of St. Norbert College yesterday and returned to the comforts of their homes, apartments and condos in the Green Bay area.
This year marks the first time since 2003 that the Packers have opened the preseason with two games outside of Green Bay and closed the preseason with two home games. In ’03 Green Bay opened the preseason in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio, then played two road games before finishing with two games at Lambeau Field.
Following the contest at St. Louis tomorrow, the Packers will host the Oakland Raiders at Lambeau Field on Friday, Aug. 22, in a nationally televised game on CBS. This will be the 21st time in the last 22 seasons that the Packers have appeared on national TV at least once during the preseason.
