The Sturgeon Bay American Legion Baseball team tossed their second no-hitter of the season this week in a 2-1 win over Denmark. The win pushed the Bays record to (8-1) in conference.
Riley Cordier struck out an incredible 15 batter in seven innings of work. He allowed just one walk.
Denmark took a 1-0 lead in the top of the sixth inning on an error and a wild pitch. The Bays came storming back with a two run rally in the bottom of that same inning to take the lead.
Lucas Stephenson lined a single to left field to score one run and a misplayed ball in the outfield on a fly by Michael Larsen plated the second.
The Bays are now off until Tuesday when they will host Manitowoc at Memorial Field. First pitch is scheduled for 8:00 PM. This will be The Bays last home game until the regional tournament.
