After taking two out of three from the Pittsburgh Pirates over the weekend and having a much needed day off Monday the Milwaukee Brewers open a three game series with the New York Mets tonight at Citi Field.
Marco Estrada (5-2, 4.19 ERA) will get the start for the Brewers against Mets right-hander Daisuke Matsuzaka (2-0, 3.21 ERA). In his last six starts Estrada has an ERA of 5.30 compared to his first six starts of 3.13 ERA despite still being (5-2).
Carlos Gomez returns back to the team that first signed up to a big league contract. The Mets traded Gomez to the Minnesota Twins in the Johan Santana trade which eventually was traded to Milwaukee for JJ Hardy.
Game two of the series will feature Wily Peralta versus right-hander Jacob deGrom and Thursday will be Kyle Lohse against southpaw Jon Niese.
All three games will be night games starting at 6:10PM.
