High School Girls Hoops Highlights

The Southern Door girls basketball team played their first entire game without Meghan Hawkey and they already felt the impact. The Eagles fell to Shiocton 38-32 and had a long bus ride home to stew over a subpar performance. Bailey Hanson led all scorers and was actually the only one in the game to reach double digits (12).

Oconto hosted Gibraltar and notched another conference victory 60-42. The Blue Devils saw Carli Meyer rise to the occasion after the Vikings game planned to take Laken James off the scoreboard. Meyer scored 18 points and James added 15 in the win. Gibraltar was led by Lauren Kita’s 19 points and Makenna Ash’s 15 points

New London eased past Luxemburg-Casco 50-19 in the first game of the Bay Conference schedule. L-C could muster only two points in each of the first and second quarters. Lexi Kinnard led the Spartans with a team high seven points.
