Wisconsin Badgers Basketball got off to a great start to their season at the Kohl Center last night. A 59-53 win over the 11th ranked Gators will certainly shoot UW up the national rankings.
Josh Gasser burst back onto the national scene with 11 points, nine rebounds, 3 assists, and one steal. It marks the first game the point guard has played since the finale of the 2011-2012 season. Gasser tore ligaments in his knee in the first week of practice during last year’s pre-season and was forced to miss the entire season.
Sam Dekker scored 16 points to lead all Wisconsin scorers. Traevon Jackson added 13 to prove that Wisconsin can adapt with a two-guard system after Gasser’s return to the lineup.
Marquette also won last night 114-71 over Grambling.
