On the first day high school athletes could sign NCAA national letters of intent to play for Division I and II, Luxemburg-Casco Spartan star basketball player Cassie Schiltz committed to U.W.-Green Bay. Schiltz, a senior, had orally committed to the Phoenix during her sophomore year. Schiltz a 5’11” guard led the Lady Spartans the past three years in scoring and elipsed the 1,000 career point mark last year. She will have the opportunity to break the school career scoring record at some point this season. Playing under Coach Kevin Borseth Green Bay, a perennial powerhouse in the Horizon League Conference, will allow Schiltz play close to home. Luxemburg-Casco will play their first game of the season tonight at Bay Port.
