By Nick Freimuth The Milwaukee Bucks are legit contenders for an NBA Championship this season. If you did not believe after their (7-0) start or after Milwaukee beat the team with the best record in the NBA (Toronto), then a 134-111 beatdown of the defending world champions in Golden State last night should have you believing. The best team in the Western Conference had no answer for “The Greek Freak” and crew. Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 24 points, Eric Bledsoe led the way with 26 and Malcolm Brogdon added 20 points in the win.
Milwaukee’s defense on Stephen Curry was probably most impressive though. The former scoring champ and league MVP is averaging nearly 30 points per game. Against Milwaukee on Thursday, he was held to ten points including zero three-point field goals made.
The Bucks next travel to play the LA Clippers Saturday at 2:30 PM CST.
