By Nat LoCascio The Green Bay Packers claimed safety Ibraheim Campbell off waivers from the New York Jets and released punter Drew Kaser. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transactions Monday.
(EE-brah-heem) Campbell (5-11, 210), was originally selected in the fourth round (No. 115 overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Cleveland Browns out of Northwestern. In addition to the Browns and the Jets, he has played for the Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys, appearing in 43 games with 11 starts in his first four years in the NFL. Campbell has registered 68 tackles (51 solo), a pass defensed, a fumble recovery, and 14 tackles (10 solo) on special teams. He will wear No. 39 for the Packers.
