By Nick Freimuth A 31-17 loss to the Patriots puts the Packers in a tough position over the final eight weeks of the season. Now (3-4-1) Green Bay will likely have to win six of their final eight games to even get into the playoffs.
The game was billed as “GOAT Cheese Bowl” but did not feature incredible play by either quarterback. Tom Brady had a quarterback rating of 37.3 while Aaron Rodgers finished at 49.0. Green Bay never led on Sunday Night Football. Aaron Jones and the Packers rushing attack looked far more potent than the aerial option. Jones carried 14 times for 76 yards but coughed up the momentum changing fumble in the fourth quarter.
Rodgers finished 24/43 passing for 259 yards and two touchdowns. Brady was 22/35 for 294 yards and one touchdown. Marquez Valdes Scantling caught three passes for a team-high 101 yards. Jimmy Graham had four catches for 55 yards and one touchdown. Davante Adams caught six balls for 40 yards and one score.
