By Brett Kinnard The Eagles beat the Peshtigo Bulldogs 55-15 in the first round of the high school playoffs. Southern Door scored early and often in the highly anticipated rematch.
Southern Door put up 41 points in the first half to take it to the Bulldogs. Max Pierre and Derik LeCaptain both had interception returns in the second quarter to put an exclamation point on the half.
In the second half, it was all Southern Door again. Kyle Daoust and LeCaptain hooked up for two touchdowns through the air. LeCaptain led the way with 13 carries for 210 yards and five total touchdowns. Daoust, Pierre, and LeCaptain all had interceptions in the game. LeCaptain broke the school record with his 90th career touchdown in the win. Ryan Englebert held the record previously with 89 touchdowns.
