By Nick Freimuth Algoma ended an era of 11-man football Friday night with an impressive dismantling of Sturgeon Bay 44-0. Broadcast on 103.3 ‘The Clipper,’ Algoma’s homecoming was a one-sided affair. Outgained 217 to 17 in first half yards, Sturgeon Bay finished with just 37 offensive yards in the game. Algoma finished with 310 including 182 rushing yards and two touchdowns from Zach Dellis.
Sturgeon Bay finished the year (0-8) while Algoma finished (3-6). The Wolves will transition into eight-man football next season.
