The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans scored early and often as they pummeled the Oconto Falls Panthers 55-0 in the final North Eastern Conference in the regular season finale. Before a big Senior Night crowd at the Luxemburg-Casco Sports Complex, the Spartans scored on their first offensive play as quarterback Garrit Aissen hit Lance Tebon on a 47 yard pass completion. L-C’s defense then scored on the Panthers’ next possession as defensive lineman Cole Erickson picked up a fumble and rambled 28 yards for a touchdown with 8:43 left in the first quarter.
The Spartans scored four more touchdowns before halftime to take a commanding 42-0 lead and set the stage for a fast second half with a continuous clock. Dominating the statistics, L-C finished with 412 total yards of offense while the Spartan defense pitched their third consecutive shutout by limiting Oconto Falls to just 64 yards.
Colton Worachek led the Spartans in rushing with 57 yards on seven carries and two touchdowns. Aissen finished 11-13 in passing for 258 yards and three touchdowns and Lance Tebon caught two touchdowns of 61 and the 47 yarder.
Luxemburg-Casco (6-2, 6-3 overall) will now wait for the seeding meeting tomorrow that will determine who and where they will play in the level 1 Division 3 playoffs that start next Friday night.
