The Green Bay Packers signed DL Tyler Lancaster to the active roster from the practice squad and released RB Darius Jackson. According to Packers.com, the transactions were announced Saturday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst.
Lancaster, a 6-foot-3, 313-pound rookie, was originally signed by the Packers out of Northwestern on May 4. After being released on Sept 2, he was signed to Green Bay’s practice squad on Sept. 3. Lancaster played in 40 games over four seasons, starting the final 39 for Northwestern. He served as a team captain as a senior and was honorable mention All-Big Ten after setting career highs in tackles (40), tackles for a loss (9½) and sacks (two).
