The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans rolled to an easy 57-0 victory over the Clintonville Truckers in a North Eastern Conference football game Friday night in Clintonville.
It did not take long for the Spartans to take control of the game as Lance Tebon ran for a 41 yard touchdown run on the game’s first offensive play. John Larson kicked a 28 yard field goal on L-C’s second drive and quarterback Garritt Aissen hit Ian Doell for a 25 yard score with 3:04 left in the first quarter to take a 16-0 lead. The Spartans added four more touchdowns in the second quarter to take 43-0 lead into halftime and never looked back.
A continuous clock in the second half made for a quick game as L-C scored on runs by Reece Worachek and Jonas Otradovec to complete the scoring for the night. Luxemburg-Casco outgained Clintonville 459 to 78 in total yards. The Spartan defense only allowed two first downs in the whole game and forced eight punts by the Truckers.
Aissen finished 8-12 in passing for 162 yards and three touchdowns while Colton Worachek led a balanced Spartans rushing attack with 77 yards on 13 carries and one touchdown.
Luxemburg-Casco (4-2, 4-3 overall) will now return home to face the undefeated Wrightstown Tigers (7-0) next Friday night in a game that will be broadcast on WBDK 96.7 FM and streamed live on DoorCountyDailyNews.com. A win by the Spartans will make them playoff eligible for the sixth consecutive season. Matt Piesler and Paul Schmitt will have the call from the Luxemburg-Casco Sports Complex.
