By Brett Kinnard The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates yesterday 13-6. Wade Miley started on the bump and went four solid innings while only allowing three earned runs. The bullpen would close things from there on out.
The Brewers were easily able to get some run support across in this one. Christian Yelich and Travis Shaw both hit bombs in the second inning to give the Brewers a manageable lead. They would steadily tack on more insurance runs as the game went on.
Milwaukee now sits two and a half games back in the division. The Brewers have just six games left on their regular season schedule and are two games up on St. Louis for the top wild-card spot. They will start a series on Monday with the Cardinals. First pitch will be thrown out at 7:15.
