The Eagles fall to the Maroons 57-32. Southern Door traveled to Menominee to take on the Maroons in the sixth episode of high school football. It was their third non-conference game of the year.
Menominee jumped out to a lead in the first quarter after scoring two touchdowns on both of their first two possessions. They would lead 14-0 after the first. Southern Door answered in the second quarter with three touchdowns of their own. It was two rushing touchdowns from LeCaptain and a 70 yard passing touchdown from LeCaptain to Daoust. Menominee would still lead going into half 29-20.
The Maroons would pull away in the second half as they attacked the ground. They would put up 28 points in the second half to put the Eagles away in the game. Derik LeCaptain ended up with 224 yards on the ground and accounted for five total touchdowns. LeCaptain and Pierre both had over 20 tackles in the game to lead the defense.
