By Nick Freimuth Sturgeon Bay is the most improved varsity volleyball team in the Packerland Conference this season. Look no further than their last two weeks of play. Big wins over Green Bay West, Southern Door and now Sevastopol. Tuesday night, the Clippers sunk the Pioneers in just three games (25-19, 25-12, 25-20). The Pioneers were led by Steph Bemmann who tallied four kills and six digs. Mya Ploor added eight digs in the loss.
Lauren Alger and Katie Frank conducted the Sturgeon Bay offense with 10 set assists and three aces and nine set assists respectively. Carley Wodack tallied five kills, Koko Hartzell added four kills and eight aces and Hailey DeGrave finished with 10 kills in the win.
