The Luxemburg-Casco Spartans fell to the Little Chute Mustangs 47-21 in a North Eastern Conference football game Friday Night. The Spartans actually held the lead at 21-14 early in the second half before the Mustangs capitalized a muffed punt attempt and two interceptions to cruise to the lopsided victory.
Luxemburg-Casco came up with big plays in the first half, including an electrifying 85 yard kick-off return for a touchdown by Lance Tebon.
Quarterback Garret Aissen finished with 203 passing yards on 16-29 with two touchdowns and the two costly interceptions. The Spartans struggled to get a running game going all night and finished with only two yards on 24 carries, unofficially.
Little Chute (3-0) now takes the lead in the conference while Luxemburg-Casco (2-1) will try to rebound next week against West De Pere in a non-conference game at home. Pregame will be at 6:30 pm with kick-off at 7 pm on WBDK 96.7 FM. Matt Piesler and Paul Schmitt will be on the call. The game will also be streamed live on DoorCountyDailyNews.com.
