By Nick Freimuth Sturgeon Bay Soccer shutout Algoma Thursday 10-0. The Clippers had a high percentage of their lineup in the scoring column including Eli Dietzel, Arthur Kelsey, CJ Fairchild, Owen Stevenson, Trey Maas Nathaniel Greenlaw, Fletcher Hubbard and an awesome one-timer for Carson Dvorak off a cross from CJ Fairchild.
Clippers Coach Todd Maas said, “I thought the boys showed a bit more tactical stability than we have shown so far. We stated at pregame that we needed to improve focus and play cleaner. The start of the game was still a bit of a mess, but they fixed things quick enough. Once we found our rhythm it started to come together.”
The Clippers led 6-0 at halftime. Clipper starters stayed in the game for two more goals before the reserves entered the match. Nathaniel Greenlaw and Fletcher Hubbard both made their first Varsity goals to end the game early. Maas said, “It was very cool to see and I am proud of those two. I was happier with the way the guys played as a whole.”
