The Gibraltar Vikings were able to flex their muscle in the passing and the running game Thursday night as they trounced the Menominee Indian Eagles 60-0 on 105.1 The Viking. After each team fumbled away their first opportunities with the ball, Trevor Reinhardt got things rolling with an 88-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring. It was the beginning of another big night for Reinhardt who spread the ball around to all of his receivers while throwing for another four scores to take a 38-0 lead into halftime. The Vikings switched to a ground game that nearly matched its aerial attack with long runs by Andras Szakala and Jake Benzo, Jr. that also went for touchdowns. The Eagles’ Darius Wayka ran for 161 yards on 26 carries in the losing effort. The Vikings will have extra couple days to rest and practice before they travel to Lena next week.
