By Brett Kinnard The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Cincinnati Reds yesterday 9-7. Junior Guerra started on the bump for Milwaukee and was roughed up. He allowed six earned runs in a little over one inning pitched. So the Brewers faced an uphill battle for the majority of the game.
Christian Yelich did everything in his effort to keep the team in the game. He launched a solo shot in the sixth inning to keep chipping away at the lead. He eventually hit a three-run shot in the seventh as well, but it just wasn’t quite enough to win the game.
The Brewers will now continue their series with the Reds on Wednesday. Freddy Peralta will have his name called in the rotation for a 6:10 start.
