By Nick Freimuth Algoma beat Denmark 7-2 in a non-conference boys soccer match Monday. Riley Reinhart and Adam Wahlers each netted a hat trick with three goals apiece. Jenny Farley scored the other goal for the Wolves at home. Noah Paczcak and Riley Reinhart each added an assist. Haakon Utesch had 15 keeper saves in the win.
Sturgeon Bay fell 5-4 to Fox Valley Lutheran Monday. Eli Dietzel scored two goals, Arthur Kelsey and CJ Fairchild each added one in the loss. Eli Dietzel and Ben Luders notched assists. Coach Todd Maas said, “We started off the game extremely poor tonight giving away two goals in the first eight minutes. The score at the half was 1-4. Maas added, “We had some heart to heart talks at the half. And we came out and played much better.” The Clippers tied the game up at 4-4 early in the second half. “After going through all the hard to work to battle back we give up a late goal on transition. We have plenty to improve on. I was really proud of the way the boys battled back. We showed some glimpses of things to come.
