John Michael Haines, 67, Algoma, passed away Friday, Aug. 10, 2018 after a very short battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 21, 1950 in Phillips, WI., to John J. and Jane E. (Vanstrom) Haines.
John graduated from Homestead High School in Thiensville, WI in 1968. John’s whole working career was with Ford Dearlerships in the Milwaukee area for over 40 years.
John moved up to Algoma in 1992 where he met the love of his life Tammy Paplham and they have been together ever since. John enjoyed all types of sports, including the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and the Wisconsin Badger teams. He was an avid fisherman and being outside attending his lawn to perfection. He also loved to do the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Crossword puzzles.
He was a great dad and grandpa.
John is survived by his beloved partner Tammy, Algoma; two daughter Nancy (Matt) Krause, West Bend; and Laura (Scott) Jones, Menomonee Falls; one son Michael (Sommer) Haines, Madison; four grandchildren Cameron, Kaleigh, Sawyer and Porter; aunts uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, uncles and cousin.
The family will be having a private gathering at a later date.
