Eric Thames gave the Milwaukee Brewers its eighth walk-off win of the season Friday night in a 5-3 victory over the Colorado Rockies. Newly acquired Mike Moustakas opened the scoring with an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning. The Rockies would answer with a pair of homers by Trevor Story in the fifth inning and Carlos Gonzalez in the sixth. Christian Yelich answered Gonzalez’s two-run homer with his own solo blast in the bottom half of the inning, setting the stage for Thames’ heroics in the ninth. Thames hit a booming, two-out, three-run round-tripper to end the game after Jesus Aguilar and Travis Shaw drew crucial walks. The Brewers and the Rockies return to action at Miller Park beginning at 6:10 p.m. Freddy Peralta takes the hill for the Brewers while Tyler Anderson has the ball for the Rockies.
