The Milwaukee Brewers fell three runs short in their bid for a four-game sweep of the San Francisco Giants. The Brewers started out strong with a two-run homer from Ryan Braun in the first inning. But the Giants went ahead with a four-run third inning followed by a single run in the fourth and three more in the fifth inning. Milwaukee would pick up one run each in the fifth, sixth and seventh innings. But the Giants prevailed 8-5. Andrew Suarez (4-6) got the win for San Francisco. Junior Guerra (6-7) took the loss for Milwaukee. The Brewers take on the Dodgers in Los Angeles in the first of a four-game series.
