By Brett Kinnard The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Washington Nationals Monday night 6-1. Jhoulys Chacin started on the bump and pitched an absolute gem. He went nearly six innings giving up only one earned run on nine strikeouts. The bullpen held them scoreless for the rest of the night.
Erik Kratz had a nice night at the plate for the Brewers as he drove in two runs to give them an early lead. Christian Yelich had a triple later in the game that put the dagger in them. It was a great win to get the team back on track.
The Brewers will now continue their homestand against the Nationals. Next game will be Tuesday night at 7:10. Junior Guerra will take the mound for Milwaukee.
