By Nick Freimuth A violation of the NFL’s substance abuse policy has earned Packers second year running back Aaron Jones a two-game suspension for the upcoming NFL regular season. The league issued the following statement about the ruling:
Aaron Jones of the Green Bay Packers has been suspended without pay for the first two games of the 2018 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
Jones will be eligible to return to the Packers’ active roster on Monday, September 17 following the team’s September 16 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
Jones is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games.+
