By Brett Kinnard The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Minnesota Twins on Independence Day 3-2. Chase Anderson started on the bump for Milwaukee and pitched a gem. He went nearly seven innings only allowing one run on five strikeouts. He would end up not factoring into the decision.
The Brewer bats came with some power in this one as they scored all of their runs on solo homers. Travis Shaw, Brad Miller, and Nate Orf all went deep in the game to give Milwaukee just enough run support. Corey Knebel came in to close it down in the ninth.
The Brewers will now start a series with the Atlanta Braves on Thursday. Jhoulys Chacin will take the mound for Milwaukee. First pitch will be thrown out at 7:10.
