The Milwaukee Brewers won their 50th game of the year by shutting out the Minnesota Twins 2-0 at Miller Park. Eric Thames hit a two run home run in the fifth to carry the Brewers to the victory. The Brewers got five strong innings from starter Junior Guerra (5-5) who gave up only two hits and struck out eight. Josh Hader pitched three scoreless innings and Cory Knebel closed the game out by striking out the side in the ninth to secure the win. The Brewers (50-35) will play at 3:10 pm on the Fourth of July in the final game of the series with hopes of sweeping the Twins.
