The Milwaukee Brewers were able to avoid a second straight loss Saturday afternoon, beating the Chicago White Sox 5-0. Brewers batters slugged four home runs in the win. Catcher Erik Kratz gave Milwaukee a 1-0 lead on a solo homer in the third inning which acted as the only run of the game until Jonathan Villar’s solo shot in the 7th inning. Milwaukee busted the game open in the 8th following a solo home run by Lorenzo Cain, and later a two-run home run by Jesus Aguilar. Brewers pitching returned to form Saturday afternoon, led by starter Jhoulys Chacin’s outing, allowing 0 runs on 3 hits and 5 strikeouts over 5.2 innings. Josh Hader would finish the 6th and pitch the 7th, striking out 3 in hi s1.1 innings of work. Taylor Williams slammed the door on the White Sox pitching the 8th and 9th and striking out 2. The Brewers finish the series with the White Sox on Sunday afternoon with Brent Suter on the mound for the 1:10 game. Milwaukee has an off day on Monday then travels to Cleveland.
