Having a goal in mind can make it easier for those battling bills and debt to save their money. A GoBankingRates.com report shows 69 percent of Americans have less than $1,000 in their savings account. According to financial experts like Gay Pustaver from Money Management Counselors, it is often easier to have something in mind for what you are saving for than just saving for the sake of it. Pustaver says having such targets makes it easier for when you have to “do without” something.
