The Kewaunee Storm baseball team was down to its final out, while trailing 3-1, but managed to spark a rally to earn a walk off win over the Gibraltar Vikings 4-3. Evan Hall hit a one out triple to deep left field to give Kewaunee life, but was followed by a strikeout by pinch hitter Sam LeCaptain. McCoy Walechka drove Hall in with a single to bring the game within one run. Daniel Stangel grounded to short but reached on an error, allowing Walechka to reach third. Stangel stole second to move into scoring position. After a walk to load the bases, Vikings starting pitcher Trevor Reinhardt switched positions with Alex Laughlin at short, as Laughlin attempted to preserve the game. Laughlin threw 8 straight balls to walk in the tying and winning runs, giving Kewaunee the win. For the Storm, Daniel Stangel and Cody Bultman each reached base 3 times in the win. In the loss, Nate Ewaskowitz went 1 for 3 for Gibraltar including a solo home run. Click below for the full broadcast on Facebook Live.
