With nicer weather this week but snow still on the fields, you cannot blame local high school athletes for taking their cabin fever frustrations out on Mother Nature. Several cancellations still dot the schedules for the North Eastern conference and the Packerland Conference for Tuesday, but there is still light at the end of the tunnel. Luxemburg-Casco had their triangular meet against Little Chute and Waupaca postponed, but instead will host an intrasquad event this afternoon. The Spartans girls soccer are also scheduled to play at home against Clintonville.
In the Packerland Conference, Kewaunee athletic director Brian Rabas told DoorCountyDailyNews.com Monday it hoped to have the fields ready to play for today’s baseball and softball games against Oconto. The Storm also hopes to host a track quad meet Tuesday against Algoma, Peshtigo, and Oconto beginning at 4:30 p.m.
