By Brett Kinnard The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds yesterday 2-0. Zach Davies started on the bump for Milwaukee and had a real nice outing for the Brewers. He tossed a little over six innings of clean baseball while striking out two. He ended up picking up the win when it was all said and done.
It was a pitching duel for most of the game as the Brew Crew had a hard time plating any runs in the early parts of the game. Then in the bottom of the third inning Eric Thames cracked it open with a two-run bomb to take the lead. Second day in a row Milwaukee won on a Thames homer.
Milwaukee will now host the Miami Marlins for a weekend series. Chase Anderson will take the mound for Milwaukee. First pitch being thrown out at 7:10 from Miller Park.
