By Brett Kinnard The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds yesterday 2-0. Junior Guerra started on the bump for Milwaukee and had a real clean outing for the Brewers. He tossed nearly six innings of clean baseball while striking out seven. It was Dan Jennings that eventually came in relief and picked up the win.
It was a pitching duel for most of the game as the Brew Crew had a hard time plating any runs in the early parts of the game. Then in the bottom of the sixth Eric Thames cracked it open with a two-run bomb to take the lead. The Brewers never looked back.
Milwaukee will now continue the series with the division rival Reds this afternoon. Zach Davies will take the mound for Milwaukee. First pitch being thrown out at 12:40 from Miller Park.
