By Brett Kinnard The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Chicago Cubs last night 8-0. Brent Suter started on the bump for Milwaukee and had a decent outing tossing five innings of four run baseball. The wheels came off this game when it was turned over to the bullpen.
Jon Lester started for the Cubs and had the Brewers number the whole entire night. The lone bright spot in the lineup was Jesus Aguilar who went 3×4 on the night with three singles. Corey Knebel was put in the ninth to get a little extra work with Milwaukee down and ended up with a hamstring injury. He will require a trip on the DL.
The Brewers will now continue the series with the division rival Cubs tonight. Brandon Woodruff will take the mound for Milwaukee. First pitch being thrown out at 7:10.
