Registration is now open for the 9th annual Crossroads Trail Run/Walk 2k, 5k, 10k on June 23, 2018, at Crossroads at Big Creek, 2041 Michigan Street in Sturgeon Bay. Go to www.CrossroadsRun.com and register to put this trail event on your calendar! Come as a solo participant or bring your whole family! The trail run takes place on a 200-acre preserve at Crossroads at Big Creek Learning Preserve in Sturgeon Bay. This chip-timed event is for all ages, all levels of runners and walkers, and a great family event. There is something for everyone.
Every participant will receive a high-performance T-shirt. As each participant crosses the finish line, they will receive a tree donated by Evergreen Nursery. Enjoy post-run refreshments of Door County sundaes; ice cream from Schopf’s Dairy topped with cherries from Lautenbach Orchards and locally baked granola. Paper goods are biodegradable and food waste is composted.
Local awards for the 5K and 10 k races include one of a kind handcrafted bowl by local ceramic artist, Liz Butler, maple syrup from Henschel’s Farms, golden honey from Max and Dees Honeybees, Bea’s homemade chopped cherry jam, and youth awards TBA.
