The 2017-2018 basketball season is quickly coming to a close as we enter the second half of February. The WIAA girls basketball tournament begins next Tuesday with the boys post season to follow the week after.
Last night in high school boys hoops, Peshtigo got the upper hand on Algoma in a 53-45 win. The Wolves struggled to get the offense going Tuesday. Post player Aidan Wallace led Algoma with 12 points.
Oconto got the upper hand on Gibraltar Tuesday 79-42. The Blue Devils rushed out to a 39-15 lead at half and coasted to victory. Carson Moe scored 29 points to lead all scorers. The Vikings had just one player dip into double digits. Andras Szokala finished with ten points in the loss.
The Luxemburg-Casco girls crushed rival Denmark 73-34. The Spartans scored an incredible 44 points in the second half. Cassie Schiltz tallied 20 points to lead all scorers. Mary Cravillion added 11 points in a total team effort. The Spartans saw ten players score in the victory.
