Gibraltar Vikings junior Ryan Kropuenske brings a sense of calm and composure to all he does when it comes to playing sports. The soft-spoken Kropuenske comes from a family full of athletes. He even sees his father Jake on the Gibraltar courts as he runs the highly successful Girls Basketball program.
Kropuenske is coming off another season in the trenches for the Vikings Football team that finished 5-4 in the MONLPC 8-man Football Conference in 2017. While hampered by a foot injury, Kropuenske did manage to make an impact on the field for Gibraltar. Recovering one fumble and registering eight tackles on the season.
When he steps onto the Basketball court Ryan possesses one of the cleanest most fluid looking shots on the team. His career average continues to climb from four points per game to now over seven points per game. Kropuenske is a 52% shooter from the free throw line and hits an impressive 53% of his shots inside the three-point line.
Take a look at our “6 in 60” video segment as I sit down with Ryan to learn more about what makes him who he is on and off the athletic field/court for the Gibraltar Vikings.
