Luxemburg-Casco and Algoma boys basketball had a rough night on the hardwood Thursday night, both losing their respective conference matchups.
In Little Chute, the Spartans could not keep pace with the host Mustangs in an 80-43 loss. Dylan Hanson and Josh Zeitler each reached double figures for the Spartans, but the Mustangs’ Noah Mueller was the game’s leading scorer with seven 3-pointers en route to a 32 point victory.
In Algoma, the Wolves battled but ultimately could catch the NEW Lutheran Blazers in a 65-46 loss. Aidan Wallace once again led the way in the scoring column for the host Wolves, scoring 21 points while teammmate Dillon Dean chipped in 14 points. Sam Meerstein led all scorers with 29 points, leading the Blazers to a 36-22 advantage in the second half.
