The McDonald’s of Sturgeon Bay on Highway 42/57 officially reopened Thursday featuring some of the newest technology available in the company. According to CNBC, McDonald’s announced in June that 2,500 of its 14,000 locations nationwide would feature digital ordering kiosks, allowing customers to order their meal on a touch screen before receiving their meal to go or at their table by the end of 2017. Owner Ryan Larson hopes customers in Sturgeon Bay will have a positive experience with a platform that is unique to the area.
Sturgeon Bay’s other location on Egg Harbor Road will also be getting digital ordering kiosks in February. With more checkout points available to customers at its locations via the kiosks, cashiers, and phone application, Larson says his McDonald’s locations will be hiring more people to keep up with the potential of increased orders.
