The Badgers return to the gridiron tonight in Florida to battle the Miami Hurricanes in the Cane’s backyard. The sixth-ranked Badgers with a win would finish the season with a historic 13th victory. The task will not be easy as they face the tenth ranked team in the nation and Atlantic Coast Conference runner-up. The Hurricanes won ten consecutive games to start the season before a late-season stumble.
The key to victory for Wisconsin will be to limit mistakes and do a better job at the line of scrimmage than they did in their loss to Ohio State. If the Badgers can win the line of scrimmage and rely on their typically strong running game it will limit the number of high-risk passes that must be thrown in the direction of Miami’s aggressive and opportunistic secondary. Miami takes pride in its ability to force turnovers and has adopted an in-game ceremony of putting the “turnover chain” around the neck the player that forces the turnover.
