The Green Bay Packers will be officially eliminated from the playoffs if Atlanta beats Tampa Bay tonight on Monday Night Football. Following a 31-24 loss in Carolina Sunday, Aaron Rodgers fairy tale comeback bid was short lived. His first three interception game since 2009 sunk Green Bay’s post season hopes.
Rodgers did orchestrate a great comeback bid in the fourth quarter but a Geronimo Allison fumble after recovering the onside kick ended the game. Cam Newton tossed four touchdowns and did not throw an interception while Rodgers had three of each.
Aaron Jones carried the ball just three times but led the team with 47 yards. Aaron Rodgers gained 43 yards on six carries and Jamaal Williams managed 30 yards on ten totes. Randall Cobb was the top target Sunday. He hauled in seven receptions for 84 yards including a score. Richard Rodgers had his best game of the year hauling in four receptions including a touchdown. Davante Adams had another great game going with five receptions for 57 yards before exiting with a concussion.
Green Bay will host the Vikings Saturday night at 7:30 PM in the final home game of the 2017 season.
